SCUBA STEVE!

Here's a fake cover I did for a non-existent comic. ; ) This is kind of inspired by Sea Hunt and even Creature From The Black Lagoon. I just love the 1950's style scuba gear (which slim is sporting). Maybe someday I'll actually come up with a story to match the cover.

More Slim and Steve

This was the cover from a story I did in a compilation comic. It was fun, but I was working a lot at the time and forgot to put word balloons around some of the dialogue on the last page! Oh well, it's forever in print like that. The hairy thumb logo on The Nations Worst Comics is courtesy the prodigiously talented and coiffed Chris Sauve. If you should ever find yourself in need of reading the story, you can get it here: http://www.komikwerks.com/store.php
It's in Komikwerks Vol 2

Christmas

Hey it's only been 4 months! I'm so on top of this!
Here are some little watercolors I did for Christmas. The one with Santa was for a Christmas card and features one of my dogs, who I'm ashamed to say is approaching that size! The others were gifts for a friend and relative. I'm really enjoying using watercolors and was inspired by my good buddy Renato, a very talented artist who's been doing some amazing little wc pieces. Something about painting is really relaxing, I could do it all day long.

Finally!

Wow, it's been forever since I put anything on here, so I thought I'd post 2 drawings. More Slim and Steve stuff from the archives. Both are red and black, I guess I just really like that combination

Slim

Here's a quick sketch I did a few years ago.

This is a character named Slim who sprang from the days at Disney when Steve Gordon and Chris Sauve were roomates. Chris and I would draw versions of myself and Steve, which eventually turned into the characters of Slim and Steve. One day I'd like to do a comic in the old EC style with Chris, Steve and myself all doing different Slim and Steve adventures.

Anyway, enough of the back story! I think I like this drawing because it's loose and unfinished.

Here we go

I'm not exactly sure what I'll be putting up here, maybe the very random post-it drawings I do while waiting for renders on the ol' computer.

Oh yeah, IMJB was coined by the illustrious Dougg Williams when he realised I was a sort of walking IMDB. I do have alot of useless movie trivia floating around in my head. It's taking up space that could be better served with things like remembering my password to this blog! Oh yeah it took me quite a while to get on today.
